Manc v Food added 7 new photos — drinking having dinner at Waterside Bistro & Bar.

16 hrs · Shipley ·

Over the Pennines and heading into deepest, darkest Yorkshire is a town called Shipley. It's close to Bradford for those who are lost already.
Now, most of the food available dining out is either Indian, Persian or Chinese. You can pop to other chain restaurants but, if you want outstanding food in a warm relaxed atmosphere you have to eat here.
Plenty of tourists use this place because of its rave reviews on trip advisor but the locals are missing out.
The chef trained under Marco Pierre White and has worked in Michelin star restaurants in Paris and fate delivered him to Yorkshire.
The starters were duck egg yolk with wild mushrooms and a black pudding hash brown.
Mains were quite simply unreal. Mrs Manc did the 8oz fillet steak with buttered mushroom, cherry tomatoes and beef dripping cooked chips.
I had a trio of hogget (lamb over 12 months old). This was a fillet, a mini shepherds pie and belly. This came with a local ale jus.
Dessert was a chocolate brownie with homemade marshmallow and bake well tart with ice cream.
If I lived in Shipley I'd live close to this place.
Now I know you can tell a Yorkshireman...but you can't tell him much ... but I'm telling everyone in Shipley and Bradford, get yourselves down to this place and experience world class food at Yorkshire prices
